Shop the Trend: Unexpected Red Theory

A few weeks ago, this video by Brooklyn-based interior designer Taylor Migliazzo Simon took TikTok and Instagram by storm. She theorizes that adding a pop of red to any room where it doesn't match the colour scheme improves makes the entire space. Voila: the unexpected red theory was born.

I looked around my own house to see if this was the case. Turns out I've been unexpectedly leaning into the unexpected red theory for a while now! From red throw pillows on my living room couch to pops of red in my shelf vignettes and gallery walls, red has sneakily made its way into (almost) every room of our house.
